Healing and rejuvenating with Tai Chi-Qigong

Dear Tai Chi and Culinary Chi Friends,

October is National Physical Therapy Month (NPTM) and October 7 is National Qigong Day

Tai Chi that translates into physical therapy (PT) is relaxation. Physical therapy exercises and sessions are more effective when the participant is relaxed and his or her muscles are “loose.” With Tai Chi and PT, participants relax, maintain the correct posture and then use breathing techniques plus mind-body coordination. Their awareness focuses on increasing flexibility as well as strength. The results of this study showed that both Tai Chi and PT improved the outcome of falls but only Tai Chi was successful in reducing the incidence of falls. Both activities can improve balance, gait, and fear of falling. So check out our Tai Chi-Qigong for mature adults – drop-in class anytime convenient to you!  View class schedule.
