Japanese Friendship Garden Lecture Series: Experience Tai Chi-QiGong
On Sunday, March 16th at 1pm, I will share Tai Chi at the serene and tranquil Japanese Friendship Garden in central Phoenix. I am especially fond of this location where my second DVD was filmed. Reminder: ALL venues and classes are fragrance-free. No equipment needed – just rubber-soled shoes and water!

Day/Time: Fridays, 10-11:00am – Intermediate OR 11:30am-12:30pm – Beginner
Cost: $5.00 per one hour drop-in class or a series of six for $25.00. There is no charge to eligible Silver Sneakers members.
Venue: Cottonwood’s Phoenix Room (attached to the ladies fitness center)
Day/Time: Wednesdays, 11:10-noon
Cost: All participants must be qualified Silver Sneakers member, a Fitness Forum member or pay a guest fee.

Janet Mills, long-time resident of Sun Lakes was awarded the Crystal Award on March 2nd at the annual event dinner. As a Friend of the Library, Janet was instrumental in the fund raising efforts that led to building the new library that is enjoyed by Sun Lakers and where she continues to volunteer today. For two years, Janet has been practicing Tai Chi at Cottonwood, as well as swimming, gardening, and exercising!

A free sample of social dancing class will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at 3:00 p.m. in the Dance Studio (A6) at Cottonwood. Bring or drag your honey and all your friends to have a really fun afternoon. Dancing is a delightful way to stay fit and get exercise while holding a good looking partner in your arms.
