August 21 is National Senior Citizens Day – This day is for recognizing senior citizens for their contributions and raising awareness of the issues affecting them. The issue I would like to raise is the sitting disease – studies show that sitting less may lead to a longer life. So get off the couch or out of the recliner – it is making you LAZY! There are numerous indoor summer exercise classes, fitness trainers, plus gyms galore for you to enjoy and socialize too. If you prefer to get moving at home, visit the newly opened 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment store at the northeast corner of 202 & Arizona Avenue, in the Wal-mart shopping center. Another new location is in Ahwatukee.
Why I LOVE Tai Chi-QiGong – A quote by Thich Nhat Hahn shares just one of the many beauties and benefits of Tai Chi-QiGong and why I LOVE sharing it with each of you, whether in class or via one of my DVD’s: “Breathing in, I calm my body. Breathing out, I smile. Dwelling the present moment I know this is a wonderful moment.”
