April 2017 release of my new Balance DVD:
This DVD will be released in April, demonstrating a daily balance program for better mobility, stability and agility in and around the homes of mature adults. Filmed in various homes and apartments, the participants range from 60-99 years of age. Some have had hip, shoulder and knee surgeries and several have arthritis, carpel tunnel, fibromyalgia, glaucoma and hearing challenges. From the bathroom to the garage to the kitchen, your home can be your best exercise opportunity without getting dressed and out of the house!

In over six years of teaching easy and gentle Tai Chi –Qigong to mature adults, the participants have provided me daily insights to a wide range of balance challenges. One of the many benefits of a Tai Chi practice is that it helps improve balance targeting all the physical components needed to stay upright: leg strength, flexibility, range of motion and reflexes – all of which tend to decline with age. March 9: Learn about Cochlear Implants – Dr. Kelly Hernandez will present this topic from 12:45-2:30pm at Robson Branch Library-Lecky Center in Sun Lakes. No charge, refreshments will be served. Parking available in the church lot just west of the library.

April 29: World Tai Chi Day – this annual event held worldwide in over 80 countries is on the last Saturday of April each year. Historically held at The Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale from 9:30-noon, more details to follow next month.
